Job Purpose

To lead the registration, prequalification, approval, and specification of the company’s products with consultants, design offices, government entities, utilities, EPC contractors, and major project owners. The role focuses on increasing product acceptance during the design stage, expanding approved vendor status, and creating new business opportunities across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

Key Responsibilities

Product Registration & Approvals

• Manage product registrations and technical approvals with consultants, utilities, government entities, and EPC contractors.
• Prepare and submit technical approval packages, compliance documents, and prequalification files.
• Track approval status and ensure timely renewals of registrations and vendor qualifications.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of registrations, approvals, and technical documentation.

Consultant & Specification Management

• Build relationships with consultants, design offices, and engineering firms.
• Promote products through technical presentations, seminars, and specification meetings.
• Influence project specifications to maximize product inclusion during the design phase.
• Monitor competitor approvals and identify opportunities to strengthen market positioning.

Government & Institutional Registration

• Coordinate supplier registrations with ministries, municipalities, utilities, and public-sector organizations.
• Ensure company documentation and certifications remain current and compliant.
• Work closely with Government Relations, Sales, Legal, QA/QC, and Technical teams throughout the approval process.

Technical Documentation

• Coordinate preparation of technical submittals, compliance certificates, product catalogues, datasheets, and quality documentation.
• Ensure all submissions meet consultant and authority requirements.
• Maintain document accuracy and consistency across all approval channels.

Market Development

• Identify new project opportunities where product approvals can create a competitive advantage.
• Track major infrastructure, industrial, utility, and energy projects.
• Provide market intelligence on consultant specifications, approval requirements, and competitor activity.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, QA/QC, Product Management, Tendering, Marketing, and Operations.
• Support commercial teams by removing technical approval barriers before tender submission.
• Prepare periodic reports on approvals, registrations, project opportunities, and KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in product approvals, technical sales, consultant specifications, prequalification, or project business development.
• Experience within electrical products, cables, switchgear, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or construction materials.
• Proven experience dealing with consultants, design offices, EPC contractors, government entities, and utilities.
• Strong knowledge of technical submittals, approved vendor registrations, and project procurement processes.
• Excellent relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is highly preferred.
